Extra Rules:

1.Format

If fewer than 8 players enter any competition, a Round-Robin format will be applied, every entrant thus playing each of the other competitors in turn.

2. Handicap
All entrants will receive a handicap as determined by the past captains and head coach together with the competition secretary. The score is adjusted at the outset of the match so that the player with the higher handicap is credited with the difference between the two handicaps.

3. Broomfield
This competition is open to anyone who has not won an outdoor singles competition at Newick or any other club. The winner shall be the first player to reach 100 points.
Scoring: Bowl nearest the jack - 4 points; second bowl - 3 points; third bowl - 2 points; fourth bowl - 1 point. The mat for the next end is taken by the player whose bowl was
nearest to the jack on the previous end. In the event of a tie, 100 points each, the match continues until one player is ahead at the completion of an end. In the event of two or
more bowls being tied for any position, the score for that position is cared by both players. The other points are unaffected. In such cases an extra point is awarded when
there is a tie (or 2 points if there are two ties in an end).

4. Australian Drawn Pairs
In the first end, the leads each bowl 2 bowls; the players then change ends and the skips play their 4 bowls The players change ends again and the leads complete the end with their
final 2 bowls. For the second end, the roles are reversed, the skips playing first with their 2 bowls, then the leads delivering their 4 bowls, and the skips completing the end with their
final 2 bowls. This alternating pattern continues throughout the game and any extra ends played. Leads and skips must change ends together and no additional visits to the head will
be allowed. Rules are otherwise in accordance with the Laws of the game.

5. 3 Wood Singles

Bowls further than one yard from the jack are discounted for scoring purposes. Rules are otherwise in accordance with the Laws of the game.
